FotoJet makes it simple because they have customized their templates with the social media graphics in mind.įor example, I have a special event coming up soon for my day job - Customer Appreciation Days. You can use Word or Pages to create quick posters and other standard graphic pieces, but social media graphics can be a little tricky because of their odd sizes. To me, I believe the social media templates are the most useful. When you first start the app, you will find yourself in the dashboard area where you can start your piece with a template or by creating a custom sized piece. The hardest part of using the app is choosing what you want to use in your design. Even if you are brand new to design, you can create a graphic piece in just a few minutes. The app includes more than 900 templates, thousands of resources (clip art, images, etc.), and some really easy-to-use, but powerful editing tools. So what is so great about this app? Well, FotoJet Designer gives you the ability to design any type of graphic piece (print, web, etc.) within a few short minutes. Anyone who works in non-profit marketing knows this is true and FotoJet Designer has literally done the heavy lifting for me the past two days. You have to multitask and a lot of times you need to create a piece and quickly move to the next. I’ve been in the position to do this sort of work before and I have the graphic design background to do it, but when you are a one-person show, you don’t have the time to spend an 8-hour day working on one print piece. Now that I have your attention, let me start by saying that my day job is as an all-in-one marketing/public relations department. It will end up saving you precious time and money making posters, flyers, social media images, cards, and most any other design work you need to do. If you are in marketing, especially if you are a one-person marketing department, you should use $15 from your budget and buy this app. For those of you who may not continue reading my review, let me say this. FotoJet has a lot of great features going for it and to be honest when I first saw it, I thought, “Oh, it’s just another run-of-the-mill design app with templates.” As it turns out, this is so much more than that.

Most of the time, it’s a passive relationship, but every once in a while I find that the two parts of my day collide with a vengeance.
